TAMPA, Fla. — After releasing a toolkit to empower Americans to protect their children from the recent proposed ruling that would allow boys to compete in girls’ sports, Citizens Defending Freedom is encouraging Americans to flood the Federal Register with comments in order to let the Biden administration know that they are against his lawless Title IX expansion.
Earlier this month, the Biden administration announced that it would expand the meaning of sex discrimination under Title IX to include “gender identity” and “sexual orientation,” forcing schools to allow students of the opposite biological sex to play on athletic teams consistent with their espoused gender identity.
Like every executive order, Biden’s new order must pass through a period of public comment.
On April 6, the Biden administration introduced its Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on the Title IX change, opening comments to the public. Americans can now share their thoughts about the executive order by visiting the Federal Register.
In response, Citizens Defending Freedom is launching a call to action, asking Americans who believe that boys are boys and girls are girls to leave a comment in the Federal Register expressing that sentiment before the public comment period ends on May 15.
“It’s difficult to believe that as a society, we’re even having a debate about whether boys should participate in girls’ sports,” said Citizens Defending Freedom’s Chief Communications Officer Kristen Huber. “Boys have an obvious biological advantage over girls in sports, and these proposed changes to Title IX are not only unfair—they’re downright reckless. Americans have a responsibility to speak out against it. Today, Citizens Defending Freedom is making a call to action. We need every person who opposes these policies to go to the Federal Register and leave a comment.”
Huber emphasized that the federal government must read and respond to every individual comment.
“The Biden administration cannot simply ignore you,” Huber said. “They are required to read and respond to your comments. Make sure you make your voice heard before the public comments period ends on May 15!”
