AUSTIN, Texas - Citizens Defending Freedom (CDF), a nonpartisan grassroots organization committed to protecting constitutional rights and election integrity, has joined as a co-plaintiff in a lawsuit filed in federal courts in Texas and Florida. The suit alleges serious irregularities in voter registration procedures and voting systems in these states.
"Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of our republic," said CDF Texas State Director Colby Wiltse. "Our analysis has revealed concerning issues with voter rolls and election administration that must be addressed to ensure the integrity of our electoral process."
The lawsuit cites evidence of:
Inaccurate and outdated voter registration rolls
Violations of federal and state election laws
Failure to properly maintain voting systems
Lack of transparency in election procedures
"We're not seeking to overturn past results, but to safeguard future elections," Wiltse emphasized. "All Americans, regardless of political affiliation, should be able to trust that their vote counts and the system is secure."
CDF is asking the courts to compel state and federal officials to:
Thoroughly investigate irregularities from past elections
Take concrete steps to clean up voter rolls
Ensure voting systems meet federal accuracy standards
Increase election transparency and security measures
"Our goal is simple - we want officials to follow existing laws designed to protect election integrity," said Wiltse. "We believe this lawsuit is a necessary step to restore voter confidence and strengthen our democratic process."
Collin County CDF Elections Lead Debbie Lindstrom was among a large team that spent over a year analyzing problems with Texas elections. The complete report is included in Exhibit C in the lawsuit and can be found through this link.
