POLK COUNTY, Fla. — Citizens Defending Freedom (CDF), a nonprofit organization that equips citizens to defend their freedom and place local government back into the hands of the people, is scheduled to host a Gala in Texas featuring Turning Point USA Founder and President Charlie Kirk.
The event, CDF’s For Such A Time As This Faith and Freedom Fundraiser and Gala, is scheduled for August 2nd at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Frisco Hotel & Convention Center in Frisco, Texas.
Charlie Kirk will deliver the keynote address, and special guest speakers Gen. Michael Flynn (Retired) and award-winning journalist Lara Logan, will also take the stage. CDF will also welcome American vocalist and songwriter David Phelps.
Charlie Kirk has endorsed CDF, along with the group’s work in defending American values.

Recently, Miami-Dade County settled a lawsuit by CDF that will require the county to follow Florida’s Sunshine Act statute when it comes to instructional materials in the school system.
In school districts in Florida and Texas, Citizens Defending Freedom has initiated the removal of hundreds of sexually graphic and otherwise age-inappropriate books from public school libraries.
The organization also aided in the resignation of a George Soros-aligned prosecutor in Nueces County, Texas named Mark Gonzalez. CDF initiated the removal process of Gonzalez for his soft-on-crime approach, alleging that those policies equated to dereliction of duty. Gonzalez resigned before his trial.
