MULBERRY, Fla. – Citizens Defending Freedom (CDF) celebrates a significant victory in protecting the lives of the unborn as Florida’s proposed Amendment 4, which would have constitutionally changed abortion laws in the state, did not pass. CDF, along with Do No Harm Florida (DNHF), was instrumental in educating Floridians about the implications of this amendment, reaching over 1.2 million people through its influencer program and extensive outreach efforts.
Amendment 4, which appeared on the November 5 ballot, sought to expand abortion access throughout Florida, raising concerns over the lack of limits on the timing and circumstances of abortions. In partnership with medical professionals, CDF launched an educational campaign, breaking down each aspect of the amendment’s wording, highlighting the amendment’s vague and potentially dangerous language, which would have allowed unrestricted abortion access and weakened parental involvement laws.
“Amendment 4 would have marked the most extreme abortion policy in Florida’s history,” said Sarah Calamunci, CDF’s Chief of Staff and Florida State Director. Citizens Defending Freedom will continue to fight for the rights of the unborn.
