Tarrant County Impact

Duante Newton.jpg
BREAKING: Major 1st Amendment Win!

A Christian preacher has been ACQUITTED after being cited for violating a city noise ordinance while sharing the Gospel at the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Duante Newton was found NOT GUILTY by a jury in Fort Worth municipal court yesterday. Citizens Defending Freedom stood with Mr. Newton in this significant Constitutional victory for religious freedom and free speech.

After the trial, Newton shared these powerful words:

"I just want to give all praise to Jesus. The reason why I'm here is bigger than me; it's bigger than all of us."

Let's celebrate this win for our Constitutional rights! Share to spread the good news!

We had nearly 70 people sign up for an 'Emergency Medicine Evolved' Training on June 23rd for citizens taught by the Collin County Sheriff's Department and we still had more people wanting to sign-up even after we reached capacity.

We learned emergency responses like stopping hemorrhages by wound packing and wrapping. We learned how to use tourniquets for extremity wounds, and we practiced CPR.

Next, we went into active shooter training. We had a live shooter scenario & you better believe, I was the first one out the door , long gone, after I was a simulated potential victim in the hallway. Luckily, the classroom properly barricaded themselves in the room and the shooter did not gain entry.

Next, we practiced our newly learned medical emergency skills in a simulated aftermath scenario. We successfully applied tourniquets & got the victims out. I pray we never have to use the useful skills we learned but I'm thankful to have these tools on my belt. When in doubt... run , hide, fight .

I want to specifically thank Cassie Will, Melinda Elaine Preston, LUCA-Texas, Tarrant County Citizens Defending Freedom, and Denton County Citizens Defending Freedom for co-hosting this important event together. Shout out to our law enforcement and civilian trainers and the concerned citizens who showed up to give hours of their Sunday to be better prepared.
