UNDERSTANDING AGE-APPROPRIATENESS POST-PICO
This report covers the Supreme Court's landmark Pico decision, alongside other important policy and legal precedents impacting parental rights, freedom of speech, and the development of a "harmful to minors" standard.
Notably, this report also offers a suggested criteria for educators, school boards, and parents alike to consider while reviewing educational resources, followed up by an identification of age-inappropriate materials that have been found within Texas schools.
AMERICAN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION/TEXAS LIBRARY ASSOCIATION (ALA/TLA) REMOVAL SCRIPT - TEXAS
The American Library Association (ALA)’s elected a new President with the stated goal of “queering” the library field. CDF has created this resource to equip, educate, and empower citizens in calling for the termination of and divestment from any membership or affiliation with the ALA through its Texas chapter - Texas Library Association (TLA).
This resource also strives to raise awareness towards how submitting to the ALA’s authority is the equivalent of endorsing the use of taxpayer dollars to support an institution that, in openly embracing cultural Marxism, critical race theory, and gender ideology, has created barriers for people of faith and other concerned citizens who find the ALA’s progressive agenda to be inconsistent with America’s biblical founding and Judeo-Christian ideals.

RECOMMENDED RESOLUTION TO DISAPPROVE TITLE IX REVISIONS
This Citizens Defending Freedom draft resolution is recommended for adoption by Texas School Districts to support Title IX legal protections as originally passed by the United States Congress.
The resolution expresses disapproval of the U.S. Department of Education's revisions to Title IX without legal or legislative authority which will result in the loss of safety, privacy, and equal opportunity for women and girls.
ARE YOUR CHILDREN SAFE IN TEXAS SCHOOLS?
In this new report authored by Citizens Defending Freedom, the subject of misconduct reporting from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) is investigated. In this report, Citizens Defending Freedom aims to reveal the inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and failures associated with how accusations of misconduct are currently addressed by the TEA.
CHURCH ACTION STEPS FOR VOTER ENGAGEMENT
Pastors are responsible for preparing their congregants for acts of service, which extends to expressing their faith and moral values in the electoral process. Pastors are completely safeguarded when it comes to activities such as educating their church members about the political process, distributing non-partisan voter guides and flyers for members to review candidate’s positions, and facilitating opportunities for members to register to vote. On April 19, 2024, the Biden administration usurped the United States Congress by expanding the plain meaning of “on the basis of sex” discrimination to implicate sexual orientation and gender identity. A final version of this rule was published in the Federal Register on April 29, 2024 and may be viewed here. As Citizens Defending Freedom continues to push back against the abuse of the separation of powers and federal law, we encourage you to consult the Title IX Toolkit to stay up-to-date with what CDF is doing to restore the constitutional norms based on the separation of powers and principles of federalism enshrined in our constitutional republic.
