HELP END FEDERALLY FUNDED WOKE "EQUITY" PROGRAMMING IN EDUCATION

Lined Notebook Page

The Department of Education has recently proposed rescinding the regulations governing the Equity Assistance Center (EAC) Program, a program originally created to assist school districts implementing desegregation efforts that has since expanded into a federally funded framework promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Critical Race Theory (CRT), social-emotional learning (SEL), gender ideology, and other initiatives unrelated to its original statutory purpose.

WHY THIS MATTERS

THE DEPARTMENT'S PROPOSAL WOULD:

  • END the federal regulatory framework governing the current Equity Assistance Center Program.

  • STOP taxpayer dollars from subsidizing DEI, CRT, gender ideology, and other ideological programming through the EAC Program.

  • RESTORE the program to its original statutory purpose of providing lawful technical assistance under Title IV.

  • RETURN federal education resources to supporting educational excellence and legal compliance rather than ideological advocacy.

  • GIVE the Department greater flexibility to provide legitimate federal assistance through more effective and accountable means.
